Journey description:

Day 01 - 12th October 2019 (Saturday):

Arrive Kolkata

Arrive at the first destination of your journey "The City of Joy" - Kolkata. Spend the evening interacting with your tour expert Anamika Singh. Enjoy dinner and get briefed by Anamika about the tour.

Day 02 - 13th October 2019 (Sunday):

Kolkata

Spend the daay exploring the city of Kolkata. Enjoy tea served in traditional earthenware cups called khullars. The city tour would be incomplete without a visit to Flurys - the legendary tearoom that was founded in 1927. Enjoy tea and cookies at Flurys and spend your last night in Kolkata.

Day 03 - 14th October 2019 (Monday):

Kolkata / Dibrugarh

Fly to Dibrugarh and in the afternoon visit the Mancotta Tea Factory for a tea tasting session and walk. In the evening, enjoy a cultural performance. (Note: Tea processing can be witnessed if it is operational on the day).

Day 04 - 15th October 2019 (Tuesday):

Dibrugarh

Start your day with a tea tour around a tea estate known for producing high quality CTC teas. Enjoy a boat cruise on the Brahmaputra river, followed by a picnic lunch with a view of the Eastern Himalayas. Dinner will be at Heritage Chang Bungalow with local tea planters. 

Day 05 - 16th October 2019 (Wednesday):

Dibrugarh / Guwahati

Fly to Guwahati and spend your afternoon interacting with tea brokers and auctioneers.

Day 06 - 17th October 2019 (Thursday):

Guwahati / Bagdogra / Darjeeling

Fly to Bagdogra and then drive down to Darjeeling, approximately 3.5 hour-drive. This little hill town is known for one of the most globally recognised teas.

Day 07 - 18th October 2019 (Friday):

Darjeeling

While in Darjeeling, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, (also known as the toy train ride), is a must experience! Get onboard for unmatched views of the hillside and then spend the afternoon taking a tour of the city. 

Day 08 - 19th October 2019 (Saturday):

Darjeeling

Spend the day on a tea tour at Glenburn Tea Estate, a heavenly little plantation retreat. Visit the tea factory and savour tea served with a selection of homemade cakes and biscuits along with Glenburg's signature "Tea Leaf Pakoras" - as you enjoy the majestic surrounding.  

Day 09 - 20th October 2019 (Sunday):

Darjeeling / Bagdogra / Kolkata

Drive to Bagdogra airport, an approximately 3.5 hour-drive, to fly back to Kolkata. En route, visit the Karseong Toy Train museum.

Day 10 - 21st October 2019 (Monday):

Leave Kolkata 

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport to leave India.

What's Included:

What's not included:

- flight ticket;

- all personal expenses such as beverages, laundry, telephone calls, shopping etc.;

- meals not included and mentioned in the program;

- personal fees for cameras at the places of visit, depends on size of camera and equipment;

- any international airfare or domestic airfare (which is quoted separately);

- all flight schedules and airfare are subject to change till the time of final booking;

- any Visa fee (all nationalities require an entry visa prior to arrival in India).

Booking, Cancellation and Amendment fee:

Booking:

1. 25% of Journey cost to be paid at the time of booking;

2. Remaining payment to be paid 70 days prior to Journey;

3. If booking is made within 70 days of the journey, full payment is required to confirm the Journey;

4. Payment can be made by bank transfer;

Cancellation:

1. Up to 70 days prior to Journey - 10% cancellation fee shall be applicable;

2. Between 69 - 50 days prior to Journey - 25% cancellation fee shall be applicable;

3. Between 49 - 31 days prior to Journey - 50% cancellation fee shall be applicable;

4. Less than 30 days prior to Journey - 100% cancellation fee shall be applicable;

Name Change:

1. Accommodation: Free of cost up to 72 hours before arrival;

2. Flights: A fee of 55 euro per person, per sector shall be applicable along with any change in the ticket fare;

3. Trains: A fee of 5 euro per person, per sector shall be applicable.
