Journey description:

Day 01 - 7th March 2020 (Saturday):

Arrive Delhi

Welcome to India and the capital city of Delhi. Spend the evening interacting with your tour expert, Rema Kumar, as she briefs you about the upcoming journey over dinner.

Day 02 - 8th March 2020 (Sunday):

Delhi / Varanasi

Kickstart your journey with a full-day exploration of Delhi. Take a rickshaw ride through the walled city of Old Delhi and then ride down the boulevards of New Delhi. Later, fly to the historic city of Varanasi. Enjoy an authentic vegetarian meal for dinner.

Day 03 - 9th March 2020 (Monday):

Varanasi

Start your day with a boat cruise on the Gange river, a perfect opportunity to witness the city waking up across the ghats (or river banks). After the boat cruise, explore the city and visit the local broadcasting centre where you get to interact with the weavers. In the evening, witness the aarti ceremony at the ghats of the Gange river - an unforgettable spiritual experience performed each evening at sundown.

Day 04 - 10th March 2020 (Tuesday):

Varanasi / Lucknow

Drive to Lucknow, fondly called the "City of Nawabs" or nobility, an approximately 7-hour drive. Enjoy your evening with the royal family. Experience an exclusive interaction with Raja Sahib and his family, followed by an authentichome-cooked Awadhi dinner.

Day 05 - 11th March 2020 (Wednesday:

Lucknow

Spend half a day taking a tour of the city. Later, visit a workshop to witness the fine embroidery work of Chikan and Zardozi. See the artisans at work, followed by a trunk show with one of India's leading designers and later enjoy a traditional vegetarian meal for lunch.

Day 06 - 12th March 2020 (Thursday):

Lucknow / Agra

Drive to Agra, an approximately 4-hour drive. Visit the monument of love, Taj Mahal, followed by a marble factory, where you get to see the fine "marble inlay" work that Agra is known for.

Day 07 -  13th March 2020 (Friday):

Agra / Jaipur

Visit Agra Fort, one of the finest forts built by the Mughals in India. Later, drive to Jaipur, an approximately 6-hour drive.

Day 08 - 14th March 2020 (Saturday):

Jaipur

In the morning, visit two important centres of local craftsmanship, Sanganer and Bagru. Learn about the renowned arts of block printing and tie-die. In the afternoon, visit the City Palace Museum and Jantar Mantar, a bizarre garden of astronomical structures.

Day 09 - 15th March 2020 (Sunday):

Jaipur / Delhi

Start your day with a half-day excursion of the inspiring Amer Fort, a marvellous example of Rajput architecture. Later, drive to Delhi for the last leg of this artistic exploration of India.

Day 10 - 16th March 2020 (Monday):

Delhi

In the morning, visit Humayun's tomb, a stunning example of Mughal architecture. Visit Reema Kumar's studio - Add Ons, where you will find a variety of indigenous textiles and accesories produced in collaboration with local weavers and craftsmen.

Day 11 - 17th March 2020 (Tuesday):

Leave Delhi

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to board the flight to onward destination.

What's not included:

- flight ticket;

- all personal expenses such as beverages, laundry, telephone calls, shopping etc.;

- meals not included and mentioned in the program;

- personal fees for cameras at the places of visit, depends on size of camera and equipment;

- any international airfare or domestic airfare (which is quoted separately);

- all flight schedules and airfare are subject to change till the time of final booking;

- any Visa fee (all nationalities require an entry visa prior to arrival in India).

Booking, Cancellation and Amendment fee:

Booking:

1. 25% of Journey cost to be paid at the time of booking;

2. Remaining payment to be paid 70 days prior to Journey;

3. If booking is made within 70 days of the journey, full payment is required to confirm the Journey;

4. Payment can be made by bank transfer;

Cancellation:

1. Up to 70 days prior to Journey - 10% cancellation fee shall be applicable;

2. Between 69 - 50 days prior to Journey - 25% cancellation fee shall be applicable;

3. Between 49 - 31 days prior to Journey - 50% cancellation fee shall be applicable;

4. Less than 30 days prior to Journey - 100% cancellation fee shall be applicable;

Name Change:

1. Accommodation: Free of cost up to 72 hours before arrival;

2. Flights: A fee of 55 euro per person, per sector shall be applicable along with any change in the ticket fare;

3. Trains: A fee of 5 euro per person, per sector shall be applicable.
